Taizé prayer services evolved in the small village of Taizé, France and were founded by a monk, Brother Rogers. The services are simple with prayer, scripture, psalms, and collective silence, with candlelight and devotional singing.

Our midweek Lenten Taizé services will be held on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary, led by Ed Schneider and Margaret Peterson.

PALM SUNDAY

On Palm Sunday, we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We will recognize this day as we wave our own palm branches and praise God for sending his Son to earth. If you missed the the Palm Sunday Worship Service, you can watch it here!

THURSDAY, MARCH 28  l  6PM

MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE  l  SANCTUARY

Jesus shared meals, shared conversations, and shared his time with “known sinners.” Jesus came to walk and talk with imperfect people like you and me! We will hear the stories of Jesus sharing a meal with people thought to be unworthy, but Jesus thought differently! Through this worship experience, we will be reminded of Jesus’ love for the world. Click here to watch the Maundy Thursday Service if you were unable to join us in person.

FRIDAY, MARCH 29  l  7PM

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE  l  SANCTUARY

On Good Friday, we will journey with Jesus to the cross. As we read the passages of Jesus’ final steps, candles will be extinguished to demonstrate the “darkest” hours of Jesus’ life. The trial and crucifixion of Jesus were the most heart-breaking moments of Jesus’ life. In order for us to understand the glory of Easter morning, we must walk with Christ through the agony of that Friday.

When they arrived, they found the stone rolled away, and the tomb empty. Later, they would learn that Jesus, who was crucified, is alive! Where there appeared to be no hope, there is now hope. Where there was death, there is now resurrection!
