Dr. Quincy D. Brown

Rev. Dr. Quincy Brown is passionate about equipping Snellville Community Church to imagine new ways to connect people with Jesus! Dr. Brown has served as the District Superintendent and Missional Strategist for the Central South District (DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, and Henry Counties) of North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dr. Brown is the author of Discipleship Path: Guiding Congregations to Connect with Jesus.

Quincy was the Youth Minister at St. Paul UMC, Summit Street, Associate Pastor at Gainesville First UMC, Chaplain and Vice President of LaGrange College, Assistant Pastor at LaGrange First UMC, Church Planter in residence at Impact Church and Threshold Church, and Executive Pastor at Peachtree City UMC.

A native of Gainesville, GA, Quincy graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with a bachelors in Electronic Engineering Technology. Quincy is also a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M. Div.), and Gammon Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (D. Min).

Quincy is married to Dionne Moore Brown.

Lyn Powell

Pastor of Congregational Care

Lyn graduated from Ohio State University with honors. She served many years as Vice President of Information Technology for Associated Credit Union, the largest credit union in Georgia. She has had long experience with the Conference and with the General (national and global) Church. 

Lyn is past lay leader of the North Georgia Conference. She has been an elected delegate to five General Conferences. She was chairperson of the delegation to the 2008 General Conference, where she delivered the laity address. Lyn has served on the executive committee of the World Methodist Council, on the executive committee of the Congress on Evangelism, on the executive committee of the Commission on Faith and Order, on the General Board of Discipleship, on the Southeastern Committee on Episcopacy, and on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, among several other boards and committees. 

Lyn has preached in 43 churches in North Georgia, and in several conferences beyond North Georgia. But the only thing she usually mentions is that she played basketball for Ohio State too many years ago!

Worship and Video Coordinator

Nancy is involved in planning and preparing for the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services and also creates videos for the church.

Nancy graduated from the University of Georgia and is a dawg through and through. She says her favorite season is football season. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan, and they have two daughters, Maddie and Emma Kate. In her spare time, Nancy loves to craft and spend time with family. Nancy grew up at our church and loves being able to work at the place that shaped her faith journey.

Ed Schneider

Traditional Music Director

Mr. Schneider has been conducting since the age of 19 and has led orchestras and choruses in performances of choral masterworks in both his academic and professional life since his early 20’s.

In demand as a choral adjudicator and clinician, Mr. Schneider has prepared choirs and coached conductors at regional events of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He has conducted choirs in The United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Israel, Jordan, and Palestine.  Mr. Schneider has sung with numerous nationally known choral ensembles: Los Angeles Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale, Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati, and May Festival Chorus; and has sung under the baton of Zubin Meta, JoAnn Falletta, Dale Warland, Joseph Flummerfelt, John Alexander, Paul Salomunovich, Roger Wagner, Elmer Thomas, John Leman, and Earl Rivers.  He has prepared choruses for John Alexander, Dale Warland, Elmer Thomas, Earl Rivers, and John Leman.

Ed Schneider was the founding Artistic Director of Sacre Voci, a 16-voice community chamber choir specializing in early sacred polyphony and modern works for chamber choir. Sacre Voci sang concerts in and around the Atlanta area and developed a reputation of excellence. Under Ed’s leadership, his choirs have sung successive years and to great acclaim at the prestigious Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival in Charleston, SC.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Mr. Schneider earned a Bachelor of Music in voice and woodwinds, as well as a Masters of Music in conducting from California State University, Northridge and studied for his DMA in Choral Conducting and Sacred Music with a full scholarship and assistantship at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music.

Margaret Peterson is Snellville Community Church's talented Organist. Margaret lends inspiration to the traditional worship services by using the organ to lift the congregation in music for the praise of God.

Guy Fenocchi

Praise & Worship Leader

Guy is a professional guitarist, and guitar/bass instructor originally from central New York. He holds an associate degree in classical guitar from Onondaga Community College, and a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from Ithaca College.

As a music educator, Guy has 30 years of teaching experience varying from private instruction to Classroom situations. He has also been involved with Day Jams summer camp ’06’, and co- director for Camp jam ‘07‘. Guy’s publications include his own books “Christmas Arrangements for Guitar”, “Guitar Companion and Supplements Workbook", and “Lets Jam Jazz Standards".

As a performer, he has toured throughout the East Coast and Canada with various groups and performers. Artists include The Drifters, Clarence Clemons, Big Bill Morganfield (the son of Muddy Waters) and many others. He has also appeared in the Stan Rogers folk fest, North Atlantic Blues Festival, Syracuse, Atlanta, and Montreal Jazz Festivals.

Guy currently performs in the Atlanta area as a freelance Guitarist, and with his own group, The Guy Fenocchi Trio!

Margie Tutton is Snellville Community Church's Office Administrator who brings an energetic and vibrant approach to her multi-faced roles. Margie is the point person for just about everything! She makes sure the staff and congregation are well attended to with the general duties of our main office including ordering supplies, equipment, and office systems. She assists with the church calendar, adult Sunday School material, and the church pictorial directory. Margie also manages the church's facilities scheduler, confirming reservations for the use of rooms on our campus for the staff, congregation, and the community.

Margie is married to Tony Tutton and they enjoy spending time with their families especially their grandsons, Jeffrey and Ryan. Long time Brookwood Bronco High School, UGA football, and Atlanta Braves fans, they can usually be found following Friday night lights and sporting events. 

Margie enjoys cooking, and entertaining friends and family, gardening, and making scrapbooks of her family life. She has a lifelong pursuit of Love, Humor and Happiness in all ways through service and dedication to a job well done.

Keeping everyone “in the know” about Snellville Community Church's happenings is Andrea's primary goal!

Andrea designs, organizes, and implements effective communications with an artistic eye and passion to advance the mission of Snellville Community Church: living out the vision of Honoring God by Doing Life Together for the Transformation of Snellville. 

Andrea employs different communication strategies through the involvement and participation in a myriad of Snellville Community Church opportunities. She supports all areas of ministry at the church to effectively communicate to appropriate audiences using all areas of communication. 

Andrea graduated magna cum laude from Brenau University with a Bachelor of Fine Art in design graphics and interior design. When Andrea is not working, you can find her talking about Alabama Crimson Tide Football or hanging out with her husband, Philip, their two boys Ryan & Jackson, and their dog Marty (aptly named after Marty McFly in Back to the Future). Leigh Anne oversees contributions, church finances, and other matters ensuring policies are followed as she faithfully stewards resources that God has entrusted to the church. Leigh Anne brings a high-level of organizational skills and business integrity to her job as she represents Snellville Community Church within the Snellville community with banks and vendors.

Leigh Anne is a wife and mother of three beautiful children. They spend their time traveling (nationally and internationally) participating in archery tournaments!

Matthew McClendon

Matthew has forged a growing relationship with the City of Snellville Parks and Recreation and hosts Hoop Haven Basketball with Pastor Quincy Brown in the Christian Life Center (CLC)! Matthew helps coordinate community engagement events, and he brings several years of experience to us as he and his fiancé Lori own a landscaping company. They use their creative gifts to lead beautification projects for our church campus like Adopt-A-Door! Matthew also assists with the developing, implementing, and monitoring of day-to-day operational systems and processes on our campus. 

We are grateful for Matthew’s experience in so many areas, bringing many gifts to Snellville CC! He has worked as a manager at Pike’s nursery and maintenance supervisor of a 300-capacity apartment complex and served in the military after 9/11. Matthew is a proud father to his son, Grady.

Toni Teague

Kid's Ministry Coordinator

Toni Teague is our Kid’s Ministry Coordinator, as well as a Kindergarten teacher for our Pre-

school and Kindergarten Program since August of 2022. Toni loves educating and

communicating with her students.

Toni’s background is in Business. She owns an in-home childcare business and has been in

the field for almost 40 years as a provider and an instructor. She loves helping people unlock

their highest and best potential and develop skills that will help them live their best lives. She

works with the total family with programs that can help support and overcome many obstacles.

Toni started her second non-profit in 2015 called Link 2 Enterprise and has vowed to give

information and training to the community by linking up with businesses, and other

organizations including helping with food insecurity, job training, programs for women, teens,

and children. Toni has been married for 38 years with love and support from her loving children,

grandchildren, and her 82 year old mother.

Kathy Noel

Kathy Noel joined the Preschool and Kindergarten program in 2021 as an administrative assistant to the Director. Kathy has always had a love for children and look forward to partnering with the staff and families in the community in providing a safe, loving learning environment while sharing the love of Jesus.

Kathy and husband Desmond have two beautiful children, Ashley, and Alexander. Kathy enjoys walking, spending time with family, and watching soccer.

Star McHan serves in the main office as our receptionist. She sees her position as the first impression of our church that many will get when they call or visit. Star aspires to make that a very good experience. She also serves as our Membership Secretary, keeping up with all of the changes in our membership roster – new members, baptisms, transfers, as well as updating addresses, email, and phone numbers for all of our members. It is her responsibility to assist in our reporting to the district/conference offices as well as assist the staff with any database needs they may have. Prior to her move from East Tennessee 10 years ago, Star served as Office Administrator at Reformation Lutheran Church for more than twenty years. 

Star is married to Richard and they have two sons, a daughter and four grandsons, with whom they love to spend their time. She and her family sneak away to the mountains or to the beach as often as possible. Star enjoys entertaining, hanging out with friends, Bible Study, watching movies (both in the theater and on Hallmark), and attending outdoor concerts. She and her husband enjoy short Saturday trips in their Mustang to take in new sights and to find a local “hole in the wall” where they can have lunch.

Dwight G. Collier is Coordinator (Consultant) for the Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Ministry. With this program, he serves as facility coordinator, coordinating campus service and maintenance needs with CCS Technical Services, External Suppliers / Vendor Partners, our Men's Toolbox Ministry, staff and congregation. 

A retired executive sale management executive and educator (39 years within the graphic communication industry), Dwight enjoys family time, lake living, traveling and interacting with the Snellville Community Church staff, congregation, and support service suppliers.

Janet Winters

Event Coordinator

Janet brings years of experience in organizing events and activities.  Raising two children that were active in school and civic activities that needed a mom to help was the beginning. Being a part of starting a school for the developmentally challenged was a career of its own even though Janet worked full time in the Personnel business. That school is now a nationally recognized community of learning and care from cradle to death in Arkansas. To help with funding for this project she was instrumental in producing a show that used local talent and a Broadway Director for three nights of fun filled entertainment for many years.

A native of Arkansas, Janet is an avid Razorback Sports fan.  She loves being outside in her yard, sewing, and reading. Other activities include Wedding Director, Hospitality, Spring Fling, and serving wherever she’s needed in the church. 

She and her husband Sam love to travel and always have their sidekick with them. Marley is a Shi-chon (mixed breed) that is spoiled rotten but very much loved.
